What is Sixth Sense Technology?

As humans, we interact with the world with our five senses. Through our five senses, we encounter and perceive our environments and our situations. Although these five senses allow us to interact with our world, we have not been able to use the knowledge that we have accumulated over time and used it to interact with the physical world. Until this point, our computing devices have not been able to successfully integrate technology with our ability to the physical world. Information is confined to text through paper and digital worlds, but Sixth Sense technology offers the ability to “bridge” the gap between the digital and physical worlds in a mobile, wearable way. The mobility of the Sixth Sense Technology allows digital information to be used in compliance with our interactions with the world. Through the combination of a camera, projector, mirror, and color markers, we now have the capability to seamlessly draw information and interact with such information with hand gestures.

Sixth Sense Technology or WUW (Wear Ur World) was invented by Pranav Mistry. The device sees what we see and displays information that we wish to view. It can be viewed on multiple surfaces, projecting onto a surface and allowing for physical interaction. The Sixth Sense Technology has the capacity to offer various applications ranging from telecommunication capabilities to the ability to display the time.
